Therapy for High-Achieving Women Navigating Anxiety, Relationships & Life Transitions
Compassionate, culturally responsive therapy for women who are tired of holding everything together.
Virtual psychotherapy for women throughout New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Sessions available in English and Spanish.
You've worked so hard to build a life you're proud of. So why does it sometimes feel so hard?
Maybe you're the dependable friend. The daughter who makes everyone proud. The woman who earned the degrees, landed the job, and keeps finding ways to make things happen.
People see someone who's successful, independent, and capable.
What they don't always see is how much you're carrying.
The overthinking that keeps you awake at night. The relationship you know isn't meeting your needs but can't seem to walk away from. The anxiety before another meeting where you feel you have to prove yourself. The guilt of disappointing your family.
Or maybe you're looking around and wondering how everyone else seems to have relationships, careers, and their futures figured out while you're still trying to decide what you want.
You can be proud of everything you've accomplished and still feel overwhelmed by the life you're living.
You deserve support, too.
Does Any of This Sound Familiar?
You're constantly overthinking conversations, decisions, and whether you've done enough.
You struggle to say no without feeling guilty or worrying that you've disappointed someone.
You're successful at work but secretly question whether you're good enough.
You're tired of dating, situationships, or relationships where you're giving more than you're receiving.
You feel pressure to make your family proud, even when their expectations don't align with your own dreams.
You're navigating the unspoken pressures of being a Black woman or woman of color in professional spaces.
You're wondering whether you want children, considering freezing your eggs, or feeling anxious about your reproductive timeline.
You're in college, graduate school, or the early years of your career and wondering who you're becoming.
Maybe you don't relate to everything here. That's okay.
You don't need to have a crisis, a diagnosis, or a perfectly articulated reason to begin therapy.
Sometimes knowing that something needs to change is enough.
Therapy That Makes Room for Your Whole Self
A Space Where Your Culture and Experiences Matter
For many first-generation women and women of color, success comes with layers of responsibility that aren't always visible.
There may be expectations to be grateful, resilient, accomplished, selfless, and strong, sometimes all at once.
Your experiences with race, culture, family, gender, and identity deserve to be understood as part of your emotional world, not treated as an afterthought.
You shouldn't have to explain away parts of yourself to feel understood in therapy.
Maybe you've been thinking about therapy for months. Maybe it's 2 a.m., and you're searching because you can't stop thinking about something that happened today.
Wherever you are, you can begin there.
You don't need to wait until you're completely overwhelmed. You don't need to justify why you need support when your life looks good from the outside.
You've spent so much time showing up for everyone else. There is room for you here, too.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can talk about what brings you to therapy, answer your questions, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
You Don't Have to Have Everything Figured Out to Begin
What Therapy With Me Feels Like
I'm Dr. Solimar Santiago-Warner, a psychotherapist with nearly 20 years of clinical experience.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale.
You don't have to impress me, find the right words, or arrive with a list of things you need to fix about yourself.
My approach is warm, thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. Depending on your needs, I integrate psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches.
Some days we'll explore deeper patterns, family experiences, and the beliefs you've carried for years. Other days, we'll focus on practical ways to manage anxiety, set boundaries, or navigate something happening right now.
And yes, there's room for humor, too.
My goal isn't to help you become better at carrying everything. It's to help you discover what you no longer need to carry.
